Domaine Tollot-Beaut has been in the same family since François Tollot founded it in 1880, and is now run by the fifth generation. Based in Chorey-lès-Beaune, just north of Beaune, the domaine holds plots across several appellations in the Côte de Beaune, farming them with the kind of steady, unhurried attention that produces consistent results year after year.

Chorey-lès-Beaune itself is not a glamorous address, but Tollot-Beaut makes it sing. The Pinot Noir here is soft, open-textured and early-drinking without being trivial, and at the prices Chorey commands it represents some of the best-value red Burgundy around. The domaine's holdings also reach into more elevated appellations, giving it a full range from approachable village wines to more structured, site-specific bottlings.
