These terms apply to all orders placed through tasteofthevines.co.uk. Please read them before buying. By placing an order you agree to them.

Ordering and pricing

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order, for example if stock is unexpectedly unavailable.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. We take care to keep prices accurate, but if a pricing error occurs we will contact you before processing payment.

Payment

Payment is taken at the time of ordering via Stripe, our secure payment provider. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Card details are processed directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Age verification (18+)

All sales of alcohol are subject to age verification. You must be 18 or over to purchase from us. By placing an order containing alcohol you confirm you are 18 or over. Our delivery partners may ask for proof of age on delivery, and may refuse to hand over the order if they cannot verify the recipient is 18 or older. See our Age Verification Policy for more detail.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch within 2 working days. Full details of delivery costs, timescales, and areas we deliver to are on our Delivery page.

Returns and refunds

If your order arrives damaged or the wine is faulty, we will replace it or refund you. Full details are on our Returns & Refunds page.

Your right to cancel

You have a 14-day right to cancel unopened orders under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Details of how to cancel and any exceptions are on our Cancellation Policy page.

Limitation of liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for any business losses, or for any loss that results from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
