This page explains the cookies and browser storage that Taste of the Vines uses. For a broader explanation of how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy page.
Essential storage
We use a small amount of browser storage that is strictly necessary for the site to work. This includes keeping track of items in your basket, remembering that you are signed in, and storing your cookie consent choice. These cannot be switched off because the site cannot function without them. They do not track you across other websites.
Analytics cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This includes which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located (by country, from an anonymised IP address), and what devices or browsers they use. We use this only to improve the site.
We also use PostHog (hosted in the EU) for analytics and session replays. Session replays are anonymised recordings of how visitors interact with pages. Any text you type, such as your email address or delivery details, is masked in these recordings. Card details are entered directly inside Stripe and are never visible to PostHog.
Both tools only run after you choose to accept analytics cookies.
Advertising cookies
When you accept advertising cookies, we use Google Adsto measure how well our advertising works (for example, understanding which advert led to a purchase) and to show you relevant Taste of the Vines adverts on other websites (remarketing). These cookies are only set after you accept them; if you choose “Essential only” they are not set, and Google Ads runs in a restricted, cookieless mode. Your card and personal details are never shared for this purpose.
Your choices
When you first visit the site, a banner gives you the option to accept or decline analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a restricted cookieless mode and PostHog is switched off entirely. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
You can also clear cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will reset your consent preference and you will be asked again on your next visit.
