Santini

Santini is a small, family-run Bolgheri estate started in 1998 by a winemaker who began by planting vines around his house and converting the garage and cellar into a winery. From the start the focus was organic farming, and Santini became the first Bolgheri producer to achieve organic certification, which says something about the seriousness of purpose here.

The estate produces Bordeaux-inspired blends from its 12 hectares in the Accattapane area, working with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sangiovese. The wines are proper Bolgheri reds: warm, structured, and made with the kind of attention to the vineyard that tends to show in the glass.
