Produttori del Barbaresco

Produttori del Barbaresco is a co-operative with 51 members farming over 100 hectares of Nebbiolo in the Barbaresco DOCG, founded in 1958 in the village of Barbaresco itself. It is one of those rare co-operatives that genuinely punches above its weight: the single-vineyard Riservas released in good years are benchmark Barbaresco, sought out by serious collectors.

Alongside the Riservas, the co-operative makes a Langhe Nebbiolo from fruit vinified with the same care as the top wines. It is lighter and earlier-drinking than the Barbaresco, but it carries the same grape and the same careful winemaking, which means good structure, floral aromatics and the savoury, slightly austere character that defines Nebbiolo at its most true.
