Diego Morra also makes the Pelaverga we stock, and Il Sarto shows the other side of his range: proper Nebbiolo from the Langhe, with all the rose petal and iron-fist character the grape is known for. At this price it's a more approachable route into Nebbiolo than Barolo or Barbaresco, and it benefits from the same care in the cellar. A wine that rewards a bit of patience in the glass.
The wine perfumes and scents of mature red fruit and small berry jam are accompanied by marked flowery notes of rose. The delicate scents of toast and vanilla complete the bouquet. The ageing in wood allows for the right marriage between the richness of the tannins typical of nebbiolo from the Langhe and the soft mouthfeel make this a balanced but long-lasting wine. 100% Nebbiolo
