Wines from Rioja
Rioja is Spain's most famous region for a reason: few places release mature, ready-to-drink red wine at prices this fair. I stock both the classic, oak-aged style and the newer wave of fresher, vineyard-first wines from growers like Telmo Rodríguez. Both have their place; I'd happily drink any bottle on this page.

About Rioja Wine
Rioja is where most people's love of Spanish wine begins, and with good reason: Tempranillo grown here can be everything from bright and juicy to structured, savoury and capable of decades in the cellar. The traditional houses age it beautifully; a new generation is making it fresher and more site-specific.
Mark stocks both schools, so a crowd-pleasing Crianza and a serious old-vine bottling both have a place here. Ask if you would like a steer.
Tempranillo
The grape behind Rioja, and Spain's calling card: savoury, red-fruited and endlessly food-friendly.
