Teruzzi

Teruzzi is based in San Gimignano, the medieval hilltown in central Tuscany that lends its name to Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the white wine appellation in which the estate specialises. Vernaccia is one of Italy's older documented grape varieties, producing dry whites with a particular nutty, slightly bitter character that sets them apart from the richer Chardonnay-influenced styles further north.

The wines are fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel to keep them fresh and true to the variety, drawing fruit from Pliocene clay soils around San Gimignano. Balanced, mineral, and faintly floral, they work very well at the table.
