Wines from Mornington Peninsula
The Mornington Peninsula curls into the sea south of Melbourne, and its cool, maritime climate has made it one of Australia's most exciting regions for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The wines are elegant rather than blockbusters: fine-boned, perfumed and increasingly sought-after. If you think Australian wine is all sunshine and power, the Peninsula will change your mind.

About Mornington Peninsula
The Mornington Peninsula is a cool, maritime finger of land south of Melbourne, and about as far from the Australian stereotype as the country gets.
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir dominate, both made in a restrained, savoury register. Production is small and the wines rarely travel in volume.
