I like the Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay 2023 for its bright grapefruit and spice aromas and the clean interplay of nectarine, lemon oil and cashew leading to a fennel-like finish. The nine months on lees in French oak barriques and puncheons adds weight and creaminess without masking the fruit, so it's a good choice if you want a Chardonnay that's both fresh and substantial.
Try it with grilled nuts, seafood such as grilled fish or lobster, and creamy cheeses.
