The Kooyong vineyard is located on Miocene sedimentary soils, which contribute to the wine's distinctive flavour profile. The grapes are sourced from a specific block of 24-year-old vines, known for their low yields and high-quality fruit. The wine undergoes fermentation in large wooden vats and is aged in French oak barriques for fourteen months, enhancing its depth and character.
Vibrant flavours of dark cherry, violet and smoky spice combine to create a complex palate that is both rich and elegant.
Pairs well with duck, salmon, and mushroom dishes. Its bright acidity and silky tannins make it versatile enough to complement both rich and delicate flavors.
