Warre's

Warre's is the oldest British Port house, founded in Oporto in 1670, and today it is part of the Symington family group, who farm some of the finest vineyards in the Douro Valley.

Vintage Port is only declared in the best years, and when it is, Warre's is consistently among the most fragrant of the houses: floral and finely balanced rather than merely powerful. A Warre's vintage will reward decades of patience, though a young one is hard to resist with good cheese.
