Tenuta San Leonardo

Tenuta San Leonardo is a historic estate in Trentino in the far north of Italy, in the hands of the Guerrieri Gonzaga family, producing what many consider the finest Bordeaux-style red in Italy. The flagship San Leonardo is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, and Merlot, grown on an estate with a long relationship with these varieties, particularly Carmenère which has been cultivated here for generations.

The estate also produces a second wine from the same terroir, approachable earlier but sharing the same character: the Trentino ability to ripen Bordeaux grapes fully while retaining the freshness and structure that the northern climate provides. These are wines of real depth from a producer with genuine historical roots in the region.
