Royal Oporto

Royal Oporto is one of the established names of the Douro, with a long history in the production of Port across the full range of styles. The estate works with the traditional Douro varieties, producing wines that are designed to be accessible and well-made rather than rare or collectible.

White Port from Royal Oporto, made from Codega de Larinho, Rabigato, Malvasia Fina, and Viosinho, is fermented longer than red Port before fortification, resulting in a genuinely dry, refreshing style. Served cold over ice with tonic and a slice of orange, it is one of the more underused aperitifs available at a modest price.
