Heirloom Vineyards is an Adelaide Hills producer focused on cool-climate varieties, working with fruit from Kersbrook in the northern part of the Hills. The approach is hands-on: hand-tended vines, bunch-by-bunch sorting, and natural open fermentation followed by basket pressing, which takes more time and care than most producers are willing to give.

Their Pinot Noir is made with a good share of whole bunches and aged in seasoned French oak, which gives it structure without heaviness. It is a leaner, more savoury style of Australian Pinot than many people expect, and that is the point.
