Heirloom Vineyards is an Adelaide Hills producer focused on cool-climate varieties, working with estate fruit from Kersbrook in the northern part of the Hills. The viticulture is hands-on: hand-tended vines, bunch-by-bunch sorting, and natural open fermentation followed by basket pressing, an approach that takes more time and care than most operations at this price point.

The Pinot Noir is whole-bunch fermented at fifty per cent and aged in seasoned French oak, which gives it structure without heaviness. This is a leaner, more savoury style of Australian Pinot than you find further north, and that is the point.
