Woodlands is a long-established family winery in the Wilyabrup heartland of Margaret River, and their valley blend is the approachable face of what the region does well with Cabernet. The 2018 is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small amounts of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, and the result is a well-structured, classic-feeling wine with none of the overripeness that can afflict warmer Australian vintages.
