About Grao Vasco

Dão, Portugal

Grao Vasco is one of Portugal's best-loved wine brands, created in the Dão region in the 1950s and named after the great Renaissance painter Vasco Fernandes. It is made by Sogrape, the family firm behind some of Portugal's most important wines.

The Dão sits high and granite-soiled in the middle of northern Portugal, and its reds, built on local grapes like Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen and Alfrocheiro, are smooth, savoury and quietly elegant. Grao Vasco captures that character at a price that makes it an easy bottle to reach for.
