Ferraton Pere & Fils

Ferraton Pere & Fils is a Rhône house with vineyards in both the northern appellations and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, giving them an unusually wide reach across the valley. The estate has been biodynamically farmed since 2006, under the influence of Michel Chapoutier who has been involved with the domaine since the 1990s.

In the north, they work with Marsanne for white wines from Saint-Joseph, producing a lighter, more floral style, and with Syrah across the northern appellations. In Châteauneuf, Grenache-dominant blends aged in large oak bring the heat and generosity of the south. Two very different expressions from a house that knows its valley well.
