White
Ferraton Saint Joseph La Source Blanc 2024
From £30.95
Why Mark chose this
White Saint-Joseph is overlooked next to the reds, which is a pity because Marsanne from these granite slopes has a lovely character: mineral and almost floral on the nose, with a round, textured palate that develops well in the bottle. Ferraton are a solid, established name in the northern Rhône and this is a well-made, food-friendly white at a fair price.

Tasting Notes
Colour : pale yellow colour with green tints. Nose : mineral, with a gunflint note (characteristic of granite). Palate : round attack, then expression of the wine’s mineral side. Floral and honeyed finish. A small part of the wine is fermented in oak barrels, the rest remains in stainless steel vats. The two wines are blended before bottling in the spring following the harvest. 100 % Marsanne.
