About El Hombre Bala
Sierra de Gredos, Spain
El Hombre Bala, which translates as 'the bullet man', is a joint venture between Barcelona distributor Vila Viniteca and the Comando G winemakers, whose work in the Sierra de Gredos has helped establish this mountain range as one of the most exciting regions in Spain for Garnacha.
The vines grow at altitude on granitic soils, conditions that produce a completely different animal from the broad, warm Garnacha of the south: lighter in colour, more aromatic, with a finesse that catches people off guard. This is Garnacha for people who think they don't like Garnacha.
