Wines from Sierra de Gredos

The Sierra de Gredos, in the mountains west of Madrid, is one of Spain's most exciting corners right now: old-vine Garnacha grown at altitude, picked fresh, and made with a light touch. The wines are perfumed and silky rather than big. I can't get enough of them.
