Soto Manrique make their wine in Sierra de Gredos, the granite mountain range west of Madrid that has become one of the most exciting areas in Spain for Garnacha. La Transición is their everyday bottling, and at this price it over-delivers: light, fragrant and genuinely refreshing, more like a good village Burgundy than the big, alcoholic Garnacha of the south. Keep a few bottles in and you'll reach for them regularly.
