Dandelion Vineyards
Dandelion Vineyards is the project of winemaker Elena Brooks and her husband Zar. Elena sources fruit from across South Australia, including the Barossa and Eden Valleys, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, working with growers who farm old vines with the kind of care that produces concentrated, characterful fruit.
Barossa Shiraz is what the project is most associated with: dark-fruited, warm and generous, without the heaviness that the region's detractors sometimes complain about. The rest of the range is made in the same spirit, with each wine aiming to show plainly where it was grown and what grape it came from.
