Terrazze Dell'Etna Cirneco Etna Rosso 2019
From £35.95
Why Mark chose this
A decade of age on an Etna Rosso tells you something interesting: Nerello Mascalese ages like a good Burgundy, going from taut and mineral to something finely textured and complex. Terrazze dell'Etna farm the north-west slopes of the volcano near Randazzo, and Cirneco has had twelve months in French oak to give it a bit of polish. The 2014 is drinking beautifully now, and you're getting mature Etna at a price that reflects neither the age nor the quality.
