A Bolgheri red built on Cabernet Franc rather than the more common Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot, which gives it a cooler, more herbal and mineral character than the typical coastal Tuscan style. The volcanic soils come through clearly on the palate, giving a freshness and an elegance that sets it apart. Worth trying if you like Bolgheri but sometimes find the big names too ripe or oaky.
