I like this for its concentrated orange peel, honey and ripe peach flavours; a high residual sugar of 194 g per litre gives it real generosity on the palate. It pairs beautifully with desserts and blue cheese, and will age well in the cellar through to 2035.
Try it with fruit desserts, such as tarts or baked or poached fruit; the contrast keeps things fresh. It also stands up to rich offal dishes such as liver pâté or braised kidneys, where it helps cut through the richness.
