Welschriesling Wines
Welschriesling (no relation to true Riesling) is a mainstay of central Europe, and of Austria especially. Dry, it makes crisp, appley whites for easy drinking; but its real glory comes around Lake Neusiedl, where misty autumns turn it into some of the world's greatest sweet wines, packed with honey and apricot yet always fresh. A modest grape capable of magic.
