Le Devay is a young domaine just north of Côte-Rôtie that has made a lot of noise very quickly. Roussanne is the Northern Rhône's great white grape, and at its best it gives you something rich, textured and completely unlike most white wines. This 2022 has lemon peel and grapefruit on the nose, good tension through the palate and a long, mineral finish. It's the sort of bottle that makes people stop and ask what they're drinking. Worth every penny.

Tasting Notes
Described as ‘the most coveted domaine in the Northern Rhône’ by le Figaro (the oldest newspaper in France), Château le Devay was established eight years ago. Just a few kilometres north of Côte-Rôtie, this 18th-century Chateau was purchased by Jean-Charles and Florence Fournet back in 2005. This 100% Roussanne has aromas of lemon peel, grapefruit and wet stone. There is great tension on the palate with rich texture, underpinned by a precise, mineral finish.
