Wines from Languedoc

The Languedoc stretches along France's Mediterranean coast and offers some of the country's best value: sun-ripened blends and characterful whites like Picpoul de Pinet, made for seafood and sunshine.

About Languedoc

The Languedoc was for a long time France's bulk cellar, and has spent the last thirty years proving it need not be. The sun is dependable, the land is cheap enough that a careful grower can afford to farm properly, and the results at the honest end are excellent value.

This is where to look for characterful everyday drinking with a southern-French accent — including Picpoul, which does something with seafood that few whites at the price can match.
