Venus Del Cambrica

This wine comes from the Sierra de Salamanca, a remote, beautiful corner of western Spain where old terraced vineyards cling to the hillsides. The star here is Rufete, a delicate local red grape that has been quietly rescued by a handful of dedicated growers working organically at altitude.

The Villanueva bottling comes from old vines around the village of Villanueva del Conde, on granite soils, and shows what Rufete can do: a pale, fragrant, silky red with wild berry fruit and mountain freshness. It is a style lovers of fine Pinot Noir or Gredos Garnacha will recognise at once.
