About Maison Roche de Bellene
Burgundy, France
Maison Roche de Bellene is the négociant label of Nicolas Potel, one of Burgundy's best-known winemakers, set up in Beaune in 2009 alongside his estate, Domaine de Bellene. The idea is simple and rather old-fashioned: work closely with trusted growers across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, all farming organically or sustainably, and concentrate on old vines, many more than forty years of age.
That shows in the glass as concentration without heaviness. Our bottle comes from a fine address: Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes, a premier cru in the village prized for the most perfumed, silky Pinot Noir in the Côte de Nuits, from the ripe and generous 2015 vintage.
