About Chateau Beaumont
Bordeaux, France
Chateau Beaumont is one of the largest estates in the Médoc, sitting at Cussac between Margaux and Saint-Julien on a single sweep of deep gravel soils. The handsome château dates from the 1850s, and the property has long been a reliable name among the Crus Bourgeois.
This is classic claret territory: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot producing wines with blackcurrant fruit, cedar and a firm but friendly structure. Beaumont drinks well with a few years in bottle and offers the proper Médoc experience without the grand-name price.
