Agricola de Cadalso

Agricola de Cadalso is a growers' co-operative in Cadalso de los Vidrios, a granite-hilled village in the Sierra de Gredos west of Madrid. The area's old bush-vine Garnacha had been quietly disappearing for decades until a new generation of winemakers, including the team behind the celebrated Comando G, helped the growers here turn their fruit into serious wine.

The style is classic Gredos: pale, fragrant Garnacha with wild strawberry fruit, mountain herbs and real freshness. It is a long way from the heavy Garnacha of old, and wonderful value for wine of this character.
