Produced by the team at Mas La Mola, L’Expressió del Priorat offers the structure of classic Priorat while being ready to drink in its youth. Most of the fruit hails from younger vines in Mas La Mola’s vineyards, supplemented by grapes from two additional vineyards the estate manages. Farmed organically, the vines are planted on the region’s distinctive llicorella slate soils and have an average age of 20 years old. Winemaker Jordi Masdeu wants to preserve the freshness of the wine, so the blend of 70% Garnacha and 30% Cariñenais left in stainless steel for eight months before bottling.
