Fontodi is one of the great estates of Chianti Classico, and Lamole is one of the zone's most elevated and interesting villages, sitting at around 600 metres. This is a single-vineyard Chianti Classico that shows a cooler, more restrained side of Sangiovese compared to the warmer valley floor sites. It's fragrant, precise and food-friendly without being austere. Fontodi at this price is a very comfortable buy.
