Drappier has been making Champagne in the Côte des Bar since 1808, and the Carte d'Or is their signature cuvée, led by 80% Pinot Noir which gives it warmth, body and real generosity. They use very little sulphur and 40% reserve wines, which adds complexity and roundness. It is a proper, characterful Champagne from a producer with real soul, and good value at this level.
Carte d’Or expresses the identity of our house directed by the same family since 1808. In Urville, the heart of the Côte des Bar, we cultivate all that is natural and authentic in keeping with a great wine of Champagne. 5% of the wines matured in oak casks Reserve wines 40% Very little sulphur.
