T-Oinos

T-Oinos was founded in 2002 on the island of Tinos in the Cyclades, a project rooted in the belief that Greece's islands could produce wines of real quality from native varieties. Malagouzia is one of those varieties: a white grape that was nearly extinct before producers began working with it seriously from the 1980s onward.

The wines from this estate are aromatic, textured whites with a character that is distinctly Greek: floral, slightly honeyed, with good freshness to keep them lively. If you have not explored Greek white wine beyond Assyrtiko, Tinos and Malagouzia are a worthwhile next step.
