About Schloss Vollrads

Rheingau, Germany

Schloss Vollrads is one of the oldest wine estates in Germany, with records of wine production here going back to the 13th century. The estate sits in the Rheingau, on the north bank of the Rhine where south-facing slopes and the moderating river influence create ideal conditions for Riesling.

Rheingau Riesling tends toward more body and structure than its Mosel counterpart. The estate produces a range of styles from dry through to riper, sweeter expressions, all built around that firm acid backbone and the characteristic peach and apricot character the site delivers. Good value from a name with genuine historical weight behind it.
