Raventos d'Alella

Raventos d'Alella works in the small D.O. Alella, just north of Barcelona, where the native Pansa Blanca grape (also known as Xarel.lo) has been grown for centuries. It is a compact appellation with a long history, now producing wines with a clean, modern style that reflects both the local grape and the cool influence of the sea.

The Pansa Blanca produces fresh, aromatic whites with good texture and a slightly saline mineral character. If you are looking for something different from the usual Spanish whites, this is a well-made alternative from a variety most people have not tried on its own.
