Michael David Winery is run by the Phillips brothers, whose family has farmed in Lodi, California for generations: well over a century of growing fruit in these warm, sandy soils. They turned the family farm into one of Lodi's most successful wineries, known for bold, unapologetically Californian reds.

The Earthquake Cabernet Sauvignon does what the name suggests: a big, seismic mouthful of dark fruit, mocha and spice. Not a shy wine, and all the better for it.
