La Croix Gratiot

La Croix Gratiot is a small estate in Picpoul de Pinet, the Languedoc appellation that runs along the Bassin de Thau lagoon near the Mediterranean coast. Picpoul, the grape, is grown almost exclusively here and makes a dry, high-acid white that is genuinely useful with seafood.

The domaine produces wines at different levels of ripeness and concentration, from a bright, early-harvested style through to later-picked, single-parcel selections with more weight and texture. All of them remain true to the variety: crisp, lively, and honest. Good southern French white from a producer who clearly takes Picpoul seriously.
