Feudo Arancio

Feudo Arancio farms two large estates on Sicily's southern coast, one at Sambuca di Sicilia in the province of Agrigento and the other at Acate near Ragusa. The project was started in 2001 by Mezzacorona, the Trentino wine group, with a clear aim: to grow Sicily's native grapes well and sell the wines at sensible prices.

Sun and sea breezes do much of the work in the vineyards, and the winery takes its environmental duties seriously, with solar power, careful water management and reduced chemical treatments; in 2002 it was among the first wineries in Italy to gain EMAS environmental certification. Our Nero d'Avola comes from here, a generous example of Sicily's signature red grape.
