About Dreissigacker

Rheinhessen, Germany

The Dreissigacker family has been making wine in the village of Bechtheim, in the rolling hills of Rheinhessen, since 1728. Jochen Dreissigacker runs the estate today and has turned it into one of the region's names to know: the vineyards, around 45 hectares, have been certified organic since the 2010 vintage, with biodynamic methods used across much of the estate, and the wines ferment on wild yeasts with as little intervention as possible.

Riesling is the heart of it all. Most of what Jochen makes is bone dry, but our bottle is the other side of the coin, an Auslese from 2021, picked fully ripe and sweet, sold in half bottles and made for pudding or a piece of blue cheese.
