Dr H Thanisch

Dr H Thanisch is one of the established Mosel estates, working vineyards around Bernkastel and Kues on the left bank of the river. The wines are made in the classic Mosel style: Riesling with high natural acidity, low alcohol, and a delicate sweetness at Kabinett level that never feels heavy.

The estate produces wines across the Mosel's traditional classification levels, from approachable Kabinetts through to richer Spätlese and Auslese. Soft, floral, and poised, they drink beautifully young and repay a few years in the cellar in equal measure.
