About Mosel
The Mosel's slate slopes are so steep that much of the work is still done by hand and by winch. What comes off them is Riesling of extraordinary delicacy — low in alcohol, high in energy, and balanced on a knife edge between sweetness and acidity.
These are among the longest-lived white wines made anywhere, and among the most misunderstood: a wine with a little sugar in it is not a sweet wine.
