Domaine Jacques Prieur

Domaine Jacques Prieur is a Beaune-based estate with an unusually broad spread of holdings across some of Burgundy's finest sites, including Musigny, Chambertin, Montrachet, and Corton-Charlemagne. The domaine has been managed in partnership with the négociant house Antonin Rodet since the 1990s, a collaboration that has steadily raised the quality across the range.

The whites in particular show what Puligny-Montrachet and its neighbours can do with Chardonnay: texture, precision, and a floral freshness that lifts the weight of the oak. The domaine's Premier Cru holdings in Puligny include Les Combettes, which borders Meursault and tends to produce wines that are both structured and fine. These are Burgundies made with genuine care at every level of the range.
