Domaine Bonneau du Martray

Domaine Bonneau du Martray holds a singular position in Burgundy: it is devoted almost entirely to Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, the great white hill that straddles the border between Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. The estate owns 9.5 hectares within the appellation, one of the largest single-domaine parcels in all of Grand Cru Burgundy.

These are wines built for the long term. Corton-Charlemagne at its best delivers weight, mineral concentration, and a backbone of acidity that holds the wine together over many years of ageing. This is not a domaine for the impatient, but the patience is well rewarded.
