About Bruno Giacosa

Piedmont, Italy

Bruno Giacosa spent decades as one of Barolo's most admired names, a négociant-style producer who sourced from the very best sites in Serralunga and Castiglione Falletto before anyone was talking about single-vineyard Barolo in those terms. He was also among the first to bottle Arneis as a serious wine, helping rescue the Roero grape from near extinction at a time when most growers had given up on it.

The estate works across both red and white: profound, age-worthy Barolo and Barbaresco built on Nebbiolo, and a Roero Arneis that shows what the variety can do in serious hands. Arneis from Giacosa is characteristically dry, with citrus, white peach, and a clean mineral finish, made with the kind of precision that defines everything this estate produces.
