Wines from Slovenia

Slovenia may be one of Europe's smaller wine countries, but it is one of the most rewarding. Squeezed between Italy, Austria and the Adriatic, it makes superb white wines above all: fresh, mineral and increasingly confident. The hills of Goriška Brda in the west lead the way, and prices remain gentle for the quality. That won't last forever.
