Le Colture Cartizze Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco
£36.95
Why Mark chose this
Cartizze is the single best hillside in all of Prosecco production, a 107-hectare zone above Valdobbiadene where the grapes are richer and more complex than almost anywhere else in the region. Le Colture's vines here are 20 to 25 years old, worked by hand on steep terraces, and the family has been here since the 1500s. It shows in the glass: this is not standard Prosecco. It is a proper, characterful sparkling wine.

Tasting Notes
It is here, high in the lush, green hills around Cartizze (the epicentre of the finest Prosecco production) that the Ruggeri family has been tending its vineyards since the 1500s. Centuries of winemaking heritage are upheld today at Le Colture by Alberto Ruggeri and his sisters Veronica and Silvia. Made from mature (20-25 year old), low-yielding vines planted on terraces and worked by hand, Le Colture Prosecco is made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate.
